Formula 1 2025 schedule: The 2025 F1 season will commence with Australia hosting the opening race as a 24-race calendar has been officially confirmed

The 2025 Formula 1 calendar is set to offer an exhilarating season as Australia prepares to host the opening race for the first time since 2019. This shift in location is a remarkable change, with the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian races being rescheduled to April due to the timing of Ramadan. The decision to move these races back was made in consideration of the religious observance, reflecting the diverse global nature of the sport.

The 24-race schedule for 2025 maintains the same circuits as the record-breaking 2024 season, which marks the sport’s 75th anniversary. Notably, the calendar features a series of minor adjustments, upholding the thrill and challenge of the championship. As part of these changes, the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, set to be the final race before its relocation to Madrid in 2026, will be staged ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix. This transition, alongside other tweaks, sets the stage for an engaging and dynamic season.

Furthermore, fans can anticipate the British Grand Prix at Silverstone to be part of a double-header, following the Austrian Grand Prix, a modification from the previous triple-header format. Additionally, there will be a swap between Belgium and Hungary in the double-header preceding the August summer break, with Budapest now hosting the final race before the four-week hiatus.

The post-summer break races, beginning with the Dutch Grand Prix in late August, will maintain the order from the 2024 season, with a weekend off introduced between the Mexico City and Sao Paulo events to mitigate the challenge of concluding the season with two triple-headers.

The closing stages of the season promise excitement, with Las Vegas hosting a race in November before the championship heads to Qatar and culminates in Abu Dhabi on December 7th. This intense conclusion, devoid of pauses, exemplifies the captivating nature of the sport as it concludes its historic 75th anniversary season.
