Erling Haaland: Norway striker pulls out of squad to face Scotland with ankle injury

Norway has confirmed that Erling Haaland’s injury is not serious. This is good news for Manchester City as they prepare to face Liverpool in the Premier League on November 25. Haaland sustained the injury during a match against the Faroe Islands. However, Man City still have several other injured players ahead of this important game against their title rivals.

Erling Haaland will not be playing in the Norway squad against Scotland in the Euro 2024 qualifier because of an ankle injury.

Norway has confirmed that the injury to the Manchester City striker is not serious. However, he will be unavailable for the game against Scotland due to the severity of the pain and the restricted movement caused by the injury.

Haaland got injured during the game against the Faroe Islands. He is aiming to recover in time for the Premier League match against Liverpool on Saturday, November 25th.

Norway’s manager, Stale Solbakken, stated that they will not be selecting a replacement for Haaland.

“This is a great opportunity for the offensive players in the squad,” he said.

Scotland have already qualified for Euro 2024. They are currently fighting with Spain for the top spot, as Spain is two points ahead and there is one more game to play.

Norway needs to earn points in Sunday’s match to secure their position ahead of Georgia in Group A.

Manchester City will be worried about Haaland’s injury before their important match against Liverpool in the Premier League after the international break.

City manager Pep Guardiola is missing Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones due to injury. If Haaland also gets injured, he will be without three of his most important players, except for Rodri.

Guardiola is dealing with four new injury concerns before his team’s important game this season.

Goalkeeper Ederson got hurt in his foot during a match against Chelsea. As a result, he wasn’t able to play for the Brazilian national team during the international break.

Matheus Nunes, a midfielder, was considered unfit to play for Portugal in their two November matches.

Defender Nathan Ake and midfielder Mateo Kovacic got injured in the draw at Stamford Bridge.
