Gio Reyna left off of USMNT squad as Gregg Berhalter calls in Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun for first games since return

Gio Reyna is not part of the current U.S. men’s national team camp under Gregg Berhalter.

Injuries have prevented Reyna from playing for Dortmund this season, but players like Balogun and Pulisic are active. Drake Callender from Inter Miami hopes to debut for the senior team, but Horvath and Turner from Nottingham Forest are ahead of him.

The US Men’s National Team (USMNT) will be playing against Uzbekistan in St. Louis on September 9th, followed by a match against Oman at Allianz Field three days later.

The camp is USMNT coach Berhalter’s first since being rehired. He is looking to move past the controversies of the 2022 World Cup. Berhalter hasn’t spoken to player Reyna since being hired, and will need to work on repairing relationships with several players.
