Burnley 0-3 Man City: Erling Haaland double helps visitors begin Premier League title defence with win

In a decisive victory, Man City triumphed over Burnley with a 3-0 win. Erling Haaland scored twice, Rodri added another goal, and Kevin De Bruyne unfortunately sustained an injury. Additionally, there was a heated discussion between Haaland and Pep Guardiola at halftime, and a lighter was thrown at Rico Lewis from the crowd.

Manchester City started their Premier League title defence with a convincing 3-0 win over Burnley at Turf Moor.

In their previous encounters, City had a dominant record against Burnley, winning 11 consecutive matches with an impressive goal difference. Therefore, it was not unexpected when they scored in the fourth minute of the game.

Erling Haaland scored a goal by neatly placing the ball into the bottom corner of the net from a pass by Rodri.

In the last game, the previous season’s Golden Boot winner showcased remarkable skill by scoring two goals, one of which was a stunning volley off the crossbar. The team continued their dominance with a third goal from Rodri. However, the opposing player, Anass Zaroury, was sent off after a VAR review for a dangerous tackle on Kyle Walker.

Manchester City secured a comfortable victory in the Premier League, despite Kevin De Bruyne suffering an injury. The dominant performance highlights City’s strength and poses a potential threat to their competitors.
